  I really wanted to score this place higher, the very first time i came here a couple of months back it was really nice, good food, friendly atmosphere, unfortunately on this occasion i was somewhat disappointed, so i place my order at the bar with little enthusiasm from the guy behind the bar i asked "is it possible if I order a bacon sandwich for the bacon to be crispy?" (I am funny with bacon admittedly) "yes that shouldn't be a problem" says the guy behind the bar, "also could it be on white bread?" "It would be a ciabatta" "yes that would be fine" i said, headed back to the table..after waiting not an unexceptable amount of time the food arrives. However i immediately notice it's on brown bread, i don't really enjoy my bacon in brown bread, so i gently explain that I did ask at the bar for it to be on white bread explaining that the guy behind the bar said it would be a white "ciabatta" I asked if he had mentioned this, with no reply to my question the serving lady took my food back to the kitchen with a smile that turned to a frown as she turned around. After waiting again for what was not an unreasonable amount of time my bacon came to me served in a lovely white ciabatta placed in front of me, i then notice that the bacon was pale and and the white rinde that i dislike and the reason i asked if my bacon to be "crispy" so because i wouldn't be able to eat it I had to ask in my most polite oppolojetic voice if it was possible for the bacon to be put back on for a few more minutes, the lady serving didn't seem too impressed but did her best to smile. When my "crispy bacon ciabatta" came back for the second time it was actually quite nice.
  
  I hate making a fuss when. I'm eating out for obvious reasons, I would normally just say no to it in fear of revenge of the kitchen staff but as i was with my parents it was a little more awkward. I just wish when i ask for something people would manage my expectations a little better and communicate with other staff better, and also when you ask for crispy bacon is it really to much to expect it to be..well crispy

  Nice pub with some good views and walks nearby, but suffers from being in a popular location. It is likely to be busy when you call here.

  Food good and came quickly. We sat outside on a sunny day looking at the harbour. Staff were friendly - they did get our order wrong twice. However lunch for 6 for £90 was not bad
